I forgot about JC France. I wonder what he's doing these days. (Probably 3-5 years, minimum security.)

Cool video. Unfortunately, not a good day for Mike L., but don't know why the Brumos guy was so mad at him. Mike seemed to slide in slower than everyone else.

maybe because ML was rocking back and forth trying to break free? at least that's what it looked like.

couple of stupid questions tho, the first of which not the least stupid: what turn is that?!? obviously i am thinking T10 since there's pit (mentioned) right behind it but damn if i can recognize it from that angle.

i def remember one year where it was raining on part of the track and sunny on the other but doesnt ML have spotters to warn him of rain on part of the track/cars going into the wall a good 15secs ahead of him?

That race will forever stick in my mind. I was watching at home, pulling for ML. First car went into the barriers. Second car hit. Third car, etc. I was saying to myself "hopefully Levitas will hear about it on the radio and slow in time". And then around the 7th or so car, there he was...

I recall watching it live too. yeash.. lots of metal getting all banged up.. And that Vette at the end just flew in there like he had no idea it was wet or slippery!

It is turn 11 onto the front straight. Normally T10 is the tricky one but when you are on non-rain tires in the wet, it gets real slippery very fast...

Some luck lies not in getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known.
