This was my first time driving with Potomac and it was all positive, I'm sad the weekend went by so fast! My driving instructor Dave Dans (sp?) was excellent and patient while teaching me the finesse required to master turns three and ten. Thanks to Sloan of SSI and his crew for doing a last minute alignment for my car on Sunday which improved my confidence and lap times. I sat in on the safety meeting for the white group on Sunday conducted by Irfan and another gentleman (sorry, forgot your name) and the topics covered regarding seats, various belt restraint systems and Hans devices were very informative and necessary to seriously consider with the speeds we attain at the track for safety and survival. I used to think a Hans device was was somewhat an optional and expensive piece of equipment until I realized how mobile my head would be going forward in a front end impact while belted to the seat with a six point. The socials after the track went cold was a nice touch especially the cold beverages! The dinner on Saturday night was really nice and exceeded my expectations. It was all just great, I'm glad I was able to meet so many Dorki's and put names to faces! Thanks to all of the organizers! I hope to do many more track events with Potomac.

What a wonderful weekend! So thrilled that Carmine performed well and that (fingers crossed) our bad luck seems to have ended. Thanks to everyone for patiently answering all my crazy questions, teaching me SO MUCH and smiling politely when I commented on how pretty this or that car was. It a ton of fun and I am so sad we will be away for the next one.

Smile N0tt0N's Last Run

OK, well, here is my first ever video. Vranko finally had enough and would not get back in the car for the last two runs on Sunday. Everyone else suddenly looked real busy on something somewhere else and had lost their hearing so I headed out alone.

Objective was to focus more on John’s excellent advice and guidance. Stick with gears 3-4-5 for now and focus on a smooth line through each lap. Try different lines through 4-5. Back off a bit because it is Sunday. Car felt great. I felt relaxed. Nice cap to a great weekend.

Best part of your first DE is that while I know these will look like cool down laps for you guys they were all PB purple laps for me! Left a bit of something for next time! Overall happy with my first time at a DE and looking forward to the next. Thanks, John!

Comments and feedback are always welcome.

Nice driving Martin, Tony thought the lines nicely. He tried very hard with me, I was impossible, it took me much longer

Here are a couple laps from my first session in black. The new Cayman S is awesome but insanely loud - my ears are still ringing...

Also, before you pile on - I know there is a ton left in 10. I'm workin on it .

Wow. Nice driving. Your car is a beast! The power looked and sounded amazing. Also, nice shifting

Congratulations on the (Double?) promo! That car certainly was pretty to look at, and she seems to go like stink, too. Love how that sucker rockets out of corners, particularly T9.

Next video, put it behind the driver. Otherwise fairly useless as an instructional tool.
