Default Wheel Fitment Question: MY02 wheels on a 986

Will the 5-spoke MY02 wheels fit without needing spacers? A friend of mine just picked up a 2001 Boxster S and is wondering if they'd fit.

Offsets on those wheels are 65 and 50. What are normal Offsets for the Boxster S ?

I'll have to look. I'm new to this - I mean, my friend is new to this car.

I "think" they were an option for the later S models. I'll have to do some homework.

Rob,

Congrats to your friend. I can vouch he made a great choice

Back to your original question 996 rear wheels won't fit Boxsters. The extra offset and width requires ~15mm spacers.

Thanks Toby -

So, other than rear spacers, front fitment is okay? I'm not a fan of spacers, but if it'll make these wheels work, I'd go that route.

Much appreciated.
