PCA Potomac is having a golf event (that's right a golf event) this fall with the proceeds going to the Carol Jean Cancer Foundation. The event will be held at Bull Run golf club on Sunday October 5th. You do not need to be a golfer to come out and a enjoy a good day with friends (remember its the people not the cars) ruined by golf.
The format will be Texas scramble (with a wrinkle or two) with prizes for the top three teams and other contest winners. Here is a link to the general information: https://pcapotomac.org/activities/dr...olf-tournament Here is a link to registration info: http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/...4#.U9f3xZ3D--s I can help arrange Dorky pairings if desired. C'mon DE'rs and AX'rs!! Here's the opportunity to really show off your ba........
![]() For those not familiar with golf, a "scramble" format is where each player hits a tee shot. Then they pick the best ball, and then everyone hits shot #2 from there. And so on, including putting, until the ball is in the cup. So you don't have be a great player to be on a team. Its a great way for beginners to learn from more experienced players. And its truly a lot of fun. Do it! ![]()

POTOMAC GOLF TOURNAMENT ON OCTOBER 5 HAS A GRAND PRIX! The Grand Prize for the Raffle? They’re something we will all need, sooner or later, they’re black and rubbery, and the winner will get four of them, not to exceed $1500. Oh, and they were generously donated by Radial Tire, one of our longest and best supporters. The 2nd Raffle Prize is something I wish I had now (after the birds used my car for target practice), a Full Detail Mobile Appointment, valued at $199-$249, donated by Detail Xpress. (Remember, the Raffle is open to all PCA Potomac members (golfers and non-golfers) and their guests who attend this event.) Detail Xpress will also be at Bull Run with their mobile detailing truck so you can have your car washed and/or detailed ($25-$90) while you play or lunch. Read about them on our website or send an email if you’d like to take advantage of this convenience. (You will not be charged in advance – this is to get a head count so Detail Xpress has enough staff on hand and Bull Run reserves enough parking spots.) Registration Fee is $120 per player and the final day to register using MotorsportReg.com is Saturday, September 20th. No registration fee for non-golfers, but send an email if you’d like to have lunch on Bull Run’s terrace, reserved for our club members and guests.
