Summit Point has vehicle traffic nearly every day of the week, DOD, private testing, Garage days, BSR and FATT sometimes during the week. Clearing trees and shrub in areas could help, but push deer into other areas. 12-14 ft high fencing all around the 3 tracks and go kart track would certainly help, and then hunt with permit inside on a regular basis.
As said, no 100%, but maybe if deer reduction, clearing, 75% less should help. Anyone have costs on several miles of 12-14 ft fencing, plus large cattle grids, more controlled access gates.

based on all the commentary i think we all agree that something needs to be done - but what and how. We need someone to raise their hand and say they would be willing to be the representative of the drivers and take ownership of working with the track owners and the different groups (especially local ones like PCA) who rent the track to come to some solution. I for one would be willing to make some contribution for the greater good - in money and/or time to help improve the situation.

Clear cutting would reduce deer and eliminate the chance of cars hitting trees...I just don't see them changing anything unless clubs boycott events.

Looking forward to Dominion Raceway opening next year. Perhaps competition will put pressure on SP to up their seriousness about track safety.

Boycott your event means some other club will happily pick up your weekend. And you will never get it back at that point.

Dominion looks like it could be good - they are trying to do quite a bit there hopefully they wont be spread too thin

NO INJURY. The gouge was in the visor and looks like whatever caused it would have hit his eye had the visor been up.

With their Govt. contract I am not even sure they need track days at all.
