I carved up a nice section of wrapped tire wall at VIR. The car ended up mounted on the top of the wall - all four wheels off the ground. No bill from VIR or even any mention that one might be coming.

Hey Ryan, hope it's all coming back together smoothly. One question. Why do you use sliders? Ease of entry/exit? Enduro co-drivers?

Ease of entry and exit, plus easier access to inside car. All parts are in except new rear quarter panel($$$). Taking it to Europros probably end of next week.

Well the car is BACK! Big thanks to Europros who got in done in 3 WEEKS, just in time for NJ Thunderbolt race! Jack Rocks! No frame damage at all, just a lot of body and glass work. Only mechanical was the tie rod end and cracked oil pump housing. Didn't get the livery done yet, no time. Has Zero issues with it at the race.

First sprint qualified second about 6 cars back from Lester Chang. He flies in that Cayman. He ended up going off, then backed off a little to much and I caught him with 2 laps to go. was just about to catch him when 964 spun in the octopus right in front of me, putting me back a little bit. Got on his bumper last lap. he gave me a little checkup going into last corner (I was expecting it), but timing was off by about 1/4 second, so didn't get a big enough run on him. Came in seconds (first loser), by .1 seconds.

2nd spring qualified 2nd about 3 cars back from Lester. Dad a decent start and he and I were side by side going into T1. He missed a shift, and I took over 1st and never gave up the lead.

3rd spring qualified 2nd again, but was side by side with P1 at the start. He had a bad start and I took P1 and finished P1.

By time enduro came around the H field had been decimated. 4 cars wrecked, another DQ'd and moved to I, so only had 3 other competitors. Decided to run old (7 HC) hoosiers for it. Started P1, and ended P1. Finally an Enduro I didn't get screwed by the "lucky dog" yellow pit stop! To top off the weekend, scored a Workers Choice as well. All in all awesome weekend.

Couple short videos...one of a Code Brown moment coming onto the front straight...Cayman spins in front of me, I lift a bit to early (still in the high speed corner), and lose the rear temporarily, plus didnt know which way the guy was going to end up.

Other video is of a conga line in the enduro. Never seen this before. 3 tow truck moving slowly around the track (crossing it at one point). Cup car didnt realize he could pass under white flag. So we all stacked up behind them. Lost a 15 second lead I had on the 2nd place H car (He was now right in my mirrors!)

Great to see! Would love to watch the video of you gaining on Lester in the first sprint.

Sounds like the Caymans are very fast in H -- or just his?
