Fording capabilities are not the same as floating capabilities... The number of yayhoos I watched drive through dangerously high water in hatchbacks and other light cars is astounding. Six or 8 inches is one thing, but I saw a civic fly into 12-16 inch deep and 40 foot wide river going across the road as I was turning around yesterday.. He'll learn or die sooner or later.
