We've had a few smash-and-grab auto break-ins in the neighborhood lately, and I've told my daughter to keep her car empty and the doors unlocked. Even with that, I would not be surprised if they smash a window.

Thats why I'm so thankful the Po Po is down the road writing 2mph over speeding tickets and arrive 1 1/2 hrs after ther reported break in and says
"Well it was probably some kids" Walks around looking like he is important with his hands on his hip and multiround handgun. No notes taken gets back in car and sets up new speed trap.

But, he will be first one here to haul my a$$ to the big house if Mr. Colt and I protect my property.

I don't leave any valuables in the car that I have not already written off because of this and I don't spend wads of cash on tv's or electronics cause the kids trash them anyways. It's luck of the draw on theft anyway and as said, they will get in if they want anyway. If I'm home, different game altogether , locked doors, deterrent(s) close at hand.
X2, broken window and cut up seats (from window) = more $$$ than even a high end stereo! Can't keep from laughing at TV tools that break drivers window... Then sit on broken glass!!

insist on written report, let his boss know if he doesn't. I know for a fact that all who break into my house w/me there will be armed

bouvier des flanders is a fine dog and suitable to aid in protecting family and property, if you can find one that has not been poorly bred and does not have annoying medical problems. can be a good all around farm dog and will work tirelessly from sunrise to sunset, probably more suitable as a livestock guardian though than for herding sheep or driving/working cattle given some of the other options available (e.g., border collie or ACD). real problem with bouvier des flanders is the coat which requires lots of maintenance to keep the mats out.

i'd prefer ACD for all around farm work, companionship and protection, as well as easy care and maintenance. bouvier des flanders is probably more popular though with the suburban doctor set as they make a much fancier couch ornament than most ACDs.

They are great bc they never shed. No little hairs on anything, lol. We got our washed once a month or so. They tend to accumulate dirt and get oily ... kinda like if you didnt wash your hair for a week. Once he got matted or beyond fixing he got clipped. Easy peasy.

We got ours at a rescue so it didnt come with the 8-10K price tag. Great dog though! Dog had papers and everything. Was a gift to a older woman from a family friend who was a breeder. The woman just couldn't take care of the dog.
