If you watched the F1 of Turkey, you saw both williams having tire problems. This week it was learned that at the USGP it was almost a problem exclusive to the Toyota and that the McLArens and Renaults would not have had problems. This whole thing was political and Michelin was not involved with the ranglings. In fact they were kept out of many of the meetings. Hmmm........

Question is who to believe? Michelin would of course jump at the chance to be exonerated, and they were not clear on what issues the other teams may have been experiencing with their tires at Indianapolis. Certainly the reporting this morning was not definitive on what the other teams were seeing with their tires. The quote concerning the other teams fairing well if they went out was by Michelin, so also very suspect. Analysis of the tires from the incidents with the Toyotas did not lead all the F1 officials, teams, nor Michelin to blame the Toyota chasis for the failures, now they are saying because the next race we see the Williams cars cutting tires with their wings that must be the issue? Would Toyota keep that info to themselves, duping the other teams to join them in a "pit-out"? I find that scenario unlikely...
Any way you slice it, the US GP this year was a fiasco unworthy of the sport. In other news - exciting race this weekend! Nobody spill the beans before everyone else has a chance to watch...

No bean spilling here, but it was interesting to see that one chassis was experiencing tire failure. Seems that today's case had nothing to do with anything but extremely fast laps around an extremely fast circuit. It made for am axious few laps at the end, and showed that one particular driver has stones of steel!
Great race, great circuit, and Spa NEXT weekend.

This mornings race definately showed the differences between chasis, set-ups and drivers ... the pace that the "flying finn" was able to run was absolutetly staggering.
Spa is another one of the tracks that separates the men from the boys so it should be another great battle. BTW, I missed part of the commentary about Rubens and something like BAR could be optioning his contract to Williams ??? Anbody catch the details on that?
