Great thread on the bird, Steve! I especially like (1) the 356 ad where they mention how the synchro allows you to downshift to first (but neglects "for about a year after rebuild") and tells you to "write to Porsche of America" for the name of a dealer, (2) the classifieds, likely from '70s, with a 908 for "$12,000 negotiable" and the car is described as "currently sixth in Can-Am standings", and (3) the "barn find" ad.
