Welcome Michael.

Was your V a gen1 or gen2? I've been pondering picking up a gen2 as a dd and would love to hear any likes/dislikes/opinions you had on it.

Welcome Michael. Nice TT!

I noticed the SPG in your cars of yore. A friend of mine had one back in the day. Very cool sedan! In fact, I recently saw one on the road in upper Mont Cnty the other day.

Thanks! I loved my V. It was a first generation. I would not label it as reliable however. I was planning on getting a gen 2 as my dd, but ended up with the isf instead. CMOS and I drove a v, but i was a bit underwhelmed. It's a great car, don't get me wrong, it just didn't feel quite as peppy as I was expecting. I know it's brutally fast and maybe I just didn't get to experience it fully.
I love the Isf. You are welcome to check out mine if you want.

Thanks. I loved that car too. I poured so much blood, sweat, money and tears into that car but the frame rails rusted out and that was that. They sure do look old fashioned now!

Default Long time lurker makes good...

Hi All

Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Chris, and, while I've been lurking around here for a while, I've finally re-introduced myself to the world of Porsche ownership.

In this case, it's a 944S2 cabriolet. Black with grey interior.

Day 1 has was an adventure. Picked up the car in Pennsylvania and about 20 minutes from home, while stopped at a red light and the idle began hunting, quite dramatically. From 1000rpm to zero and back, before stalling.

Yikes!

Limped home and buttoned up the car in the garage, where I noticed that I'd also picked up a nice stone chip in the windshield.

Like I said...quite a day.

All,

Since I breached protocol, I was pointed here. I'm been a Potomac member for about 3 years after purchasing my first Porsche, a 996 '03 C4 Cab. I've done the HPDC and AX school and probably will do the this year's last AX this weekend. I'm not much of a wrench but enjoy the forums, and the advice!

Hello all. Ted in Northern VA checking in. I recently picked up a '78 911SC and it seems that all that I want to do now is go for joy rides

I've been doing lots of reading and research as I gather up a growing list of fixes for the old girl and hope to make lots of progress over the winter months.

This seems like a great site, and I'm glad to be here.

Ted

Welcome and interesting and nice car. Do you know any of the history? The reason I'm asking is that Porsche didn't produce a 911 cab till the '83 model. Lots of targas got converted though.

Hi Ted. It looks like my car's twin. What color is the interior?
