Default wheels

The wheels on the car in the picture are 7x16 and 9x16 fuchs. Once the car arrives here I will mount the Braid BZ 9x16s on the front and the 10x16s on the rear. I then plan on selling the 7s and 9s seen on the car. I had them re-finished by Al Reed while the car was being built.

Rob,

Nice car! Who built it?

Also what size and brand of tires will you be running on the BZ wheels?

Welcome to the Dorki madhouse!

The car currently has fairly new BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp tires, 255/50/16 on rear and 215/55/16 on front. I'll run with these for awhile but I don't know what tires I am going to run in the future.

I have lots of photos of the build if you would like to see a particular frustrating area you are facing.

My build is 'done' (HA...they're never done). I was mostly just curious about your tires as wide 16" tire choices (especially for street use) are getting slim. On a semi-related note: I've been providing input to Braid USA to get the 17" version of the BZ wheels in production.

Who built your car? It looks fabulous.

Here's mine:

Bridgestone just re-introduced the 245/45/16 in the RE-11 Potenza and I will probably go with them for street use. I have been following the Braid thread on Pelican Parts and it looks like Braid 17s are going to happen. I went with the 16s because I thought they looked better proportionally. The 16" center section attached to the 17" rims just didn't look right to me.

A fellow by the name of Marc Zurlinden in Monterey, Calif did the build. I ran across him in Pelican Parts forum, saw some of his work and bit the bullet. He does great work and is a great guy. He is building an ST for Dave Bouzaglou at TRE now. Dave at TRE provided the vast majority of the parts and he stopped by several times during the build.
