Oh, no. For those of you on rennlist, all I can think of when looking at that front end is Butters. For those of you who don't frequent that site, Butters is a, umm, talkative high schooler with a red early NA that has gone out and spent a decent amount of money on things like audio and wheels all while leaving his front valence unpainted.

Back on topic, great work, Steve. I'm sure your son is going to love it and I bet Peter is very happy to see his car back in great shape.

Good work on a good project. I think you have done more than fix up a car here.

Yep, it has been a good learning experience for the boy. Not too many 15 year olds out there that can change brake pads, change oil, and just tear stuff apart and put it back together properly. He has been learning as we go. Kind of funny though, when I got home from work the other day he told me that one of his school buddies that drives stopped by to see if he could show him where the gas tank was on the car he was driving as he thought he had a leak. Boy diagnosed the problem as water from the A/C. Kind of interesting to see the progression from Legos, to remote control cars, to go karts and motorbikes, and now to cars.

Awesome job with the car, but even better to get the boy into cars and the knowledge to fix/build them!

My older daughter is a lost cause; she'll drive on the track but has no interest in doing any car work. My younger daughter has just caught an interest in doing all of the car work, so hopefully it will work out.

Wow! Nicely Done!

*I wanted to fix that Cam Seal leak for like 2 years... and i'm sure it was a PITA; hence why i never 'got around to it'... haha!

Looking Great though! Its really awesome that your son is learning all this stuff while he is young. Even if he doesn't work on cars for the rest of his life, he'll be able to call out "BS" when he takes his cars to a shop.

I love watching this project.

This project is just about complete. Got it back from a pal that painted it for us. Boy has himself a pretty nice car. He's paid for all the repairs out of his own pocket and costs have been minimal with the help of some of our car buddies (Thanks Mark, Noel, IV) and doing most of the work ourselves.
