Awesome, Steve! I'm sure TR will be happy to see the car restored to it's former glory right before it goes into the crusher

Pete's car is coming along nicely. The boy and I have done the following so far:
-Had frame straightened
-installed new used parts that we and some friends (thanks Mark and Noel) had lying around: header panel, turn signal, radio, center armrest, steering wheel, spark plug wires, etc.
-fixed broken odometer
-fixed oil leak at front cam seal (bolt was previously stripped..what a PITA)
-changed oil
-fixed broken brake pad sensor so the light now works
-fixed mpg gauge (not sure why)
-replaced water neck and bleed screw that was stripped
-made proper bushing for power steering pump
-fixed broken fog lights
-properly routed vacuum lines so not to run rich
-replaced broken vacuum temp switch
-fixed the clock
-remounted seats on aftermarket rails that were reversed
-replaced sun shade
-replaced sunroof motor
-fixed leaks in tail lights
-swapped rear hatch with one not loose from frame
-plus a bunch of other little odds and ends that the boy has been tinkering with.

Total invested so far is about $1650 including the car.

All that is left is to replace front rotors, do some minor body work on the passenger fender and slap a coat of paint on the damaged areas and wa-lah! When the boy gets his license in a couple of months he'll be driving a P-car. Spoiled brat.....

Nice job, Steve. If he drives anything like his Dad, we'll be seeing him in our mirrors soon. Hope he realizes how lucky he is to have a Dad who can do cars...
