Default AC vacuum pump

Not really a Porsche Specific Part... BUT with summer coming some of you might want to fix your AC systems and this will be handy.

PUMP http://www.harborfreight.com/25-cfm-...ump-98076.html
GAUGES http://www.harborfreight.com/a-c-man...set-92649.html I think the Knob on one of the gauge broke... Plastic...

It's this one in the link. Works great, used it on 3-4 cars last summer.

Pump and Gauges $75.00 obo

Sure. Its very easy:

-You hook up the hoses to the High and Low pressure ports
-Open the valves
-Turn the pump on and run it for 30 minutes to ensure any moisture is removed
-Turn off the pump
-Wait 15 minutes or so
-Check if the Vacuum Pressure has decreased at all (indicating a leak)
-If not, you fill with R-134 or R-12, Correct Kind/Amount of Oil and enjoy cold air in your Car!

I am no AC Expert by any means, but there is TONS of info/videos on the internet describing the process.

NOTES:

* Its recommended you Flush the System of any old Oil/Refrigerant as to not contaminant the New Oil/Refrigerant
*Leaks generally come from worn out O-Ring seals, which should be replaced and can often times be a real pain in the @ss to get too.. (bad Compressor gaskets are common too)
*Always replace the Receiver/Dryer (Cheap and Easy)
*It's recommended that you replace the Expansion Valve

That's the Quick and Dirty explanation
