Do you need an instructor for the tracks we run??? I will have to drive at least 20 laps to make sure the car is adequate.

Pay no attention to Dirk! I can check it out in only 10 laps and will throw in a free tech inspection.

Hell Kurt, Your ten laps would take longer than my 20. Put that beast in 2 nd gear and it would be faster than you have ever driven yourself!!!

Default Just moved to NoVa

Hey Guys:

Just wanted to introduce myself... I was recommended by the good guys at Rennlist to join Dorkiphus as the new guy... sure could use your advice on where to take my car for good maintenance, especially recharging the AC for bearable driving in the summer heat!

I just relocated from Boston to attend B-school at Georgetown... and moved into my apartment in Arlington yesterday.

Looking forward to meeting you guys at some upcoming PCA and DE events--will try to manage inbetween classes!

Cheers,
Andrew

Welcome, Andrew! Lots of shops should be able to handle an AC charge. IMA in Fairfax knows 944's very well and can do major upgrades and mods as well as routine maintenance. They are close by the Merrifield Metro stop too.

Welcome. From your avatar I take it your car is either a 944S2 or a 951. I'll let the wasserpfumpfer guys chime in on the best mechanics, but be warned we tend to encourage DIY around here... we'll have you lifting the engine in no time.

Come on out to a gathering or DE and get to know some people - unlike most of the internet sites, this one works better (IMO) because most of us each other personally.

I just came back from a week in your old hometown; and I must say, they do summer much better there than here. It was 75 degrees all week there, 95 and humid here. I thought I was going to choke when I stepped out of Dulles when I got back.

I lived in Brookline for a summer and loved it. Traffic wasnt as bad as it is here, food was much much better, and there was alot more pubs with single ladies than there is here. DC is better than Virginia and Maryland for fun, and you will be OK at Georgetown. Great school. Enjoy.
