Welcome Creseida. I will take the damn bird if you throw in the Corvair 500. My first car was a Corvair and I still have a soft spot for what is one of the prettiest cars of the 1960's when Chevy designers were at the top of their game.

Yes, if I can ever get Ferdy's car to run before I put a 9mm in him. LOL

The car is my BF's car. You'll have to negotiate that with him, but that gives me an idea.... (scurries off to edit my ad...)

New to the forum today. Was at Richmond Cars and Coffee and met some fellow Porsche fanatics. For those of you who may remember, I was the Potomac Chief Steward (really only a stand in for Fred Smartt) until I went off to SF in 01. Glad to be back and looking forward to Summit and VIR.

Sold the water cooled car and have gone old school

Actually Smartt lite, sort of like my avatar, looks like my car, just not my car. Good to be back. David

Post up a pic of your 912. I bet it is fun with lightweight and 3.2L power. I'd love to have ~ 200hp in my 356

if I can figure this out, a picture will magically appear, though it is a sort of lame picture i took at the cars and coffee. May try to take some better photos, but here it is

thought I might add a couple of additional pictures of the old school car. Not really good at resizing the images on my IMac, so I will just see what happens. Started life as a '69 912. It now has RS flares, a 3.2l from an '86, 915 transmission, limited slip, PMA clutch, and a few other goodies. All done by Javis Motorsports in Petaluma. Jay is the crew chief for The Racers Group. Trust I will see some of you guys soon.
