Qualified 2nd but they combined groups so I was 3rd on the grid. Surely this time I would not have to work my way through the pack again........ wrong...

Blue Sprint 3 on Sunday morning. Fun race. Started towards the back due to some pitiful rain lap times that set the race grid
888's are garbage in the rain. It did make for a fun start though Evan drove like an animal! Russell was given the Novice Driver Award by the race Stewards. He was very impressive. Pat, too, was driving well. Thanks to Jeff (Hoophead) for weekend track support and being our radio man. Jeff is always good to have around. Radios are very handy, not sure I can race without one anymore Set some personal goals this weekend and exceeded them. Best lap was early in the enduro at a 1:25.95. Have to find another second somewhere to match the track record though. I can't say enough about the volunteers who worked the race in the ridiculous cold and wet. Thanks to all of you.

Practice was a lot of fun as well as practice starts. Had a good time running with Ryan in the fun race.
Saturday weather had it's own challenges for sure. Luckily borrowed a friends Bridgestone street tires qualified 9th. Bob M. started infront of me and that white car in the spray and rain had him disappear before my eyes. First race start in that condition was interesting to say the least. T9 as noted by others was slippery and I ended up doing a 360 at trackout, but never left the pavement put it in gear and was pointed down the track and kept right on going. Thought I had my camera on, but nothing on the disk! Second sprint was less rainy and I had a little better sense of the tires. It was a good race. 4 of us(Timmy T, Antonio, David D and I) turned lap after lap nose to tail, no change in position and drag raced David D. to the line. He edged me out by .100 of a second. Great clean racing! Third was dry and really fun. Had a good run with Bob M. Finally passed him on the front straight with Chris Musante(1:17!!!) next to me. Three wide was pretty cool. Lot of cars since it was combined with Red, so it was easy to tell by the closing speed who was coming. Overall, finished 6th, 3rd & 3rd. Plus was given the outstanding rookie award. Very cool! For my first race weekend it was really good! Nice to race at SP and have the local support from our Potomic members. Thanks to all the volunteer's and friends and CONGRATS to all the fellow rookies! Especially the pep talk from Mr. & Mrs. B-Man.......

Kudos to all that made this event happen.
I also want thanks to my Timmy, Charlie, PJ and Omar to get me to race I really had a great time driving all weekend and I really hope no one buys Lance car because a great drover needs a good car Did a sub 24 on Friday and podiums almost all races, and I am getting really good on the rain too! I did not like the enduro mostly because we really suck on pits and also tires, brakes and gas management part was very poor but this is all about learning. Of course I gave a hard time to Ryan, maybe I hanging out with Charlie to often Antonio

I need to add my thanks to all of the volunteers that were out there in tough conditions.
I had a great weekend. Finally got a persistant oil leak solved Friday evening. Went to qualify Saturday in the rain and decided I would take it easy. Was only going to do five laps and whatever the time was, take it. I was pretty suprised to find that of the six G cars that qualified, I was first. Managed to go out in my first race, and somehow stay ahead of the other three G cars that were as crazy as me and actually raced. My first race, my first win! It was all down hill from there. Second race my inexperience showed up with the start. Allowed people to get past me and then I couldn't get them back. Spent most of the race with Timmy T, Antonio, me and then Mark bumper to bumper. Ended up fourth in class. Sunday morning sprint, once again lost too many places at the start. A couple of laps in, Lane comes flying past me. One more person in G to be in front of me. Managed to finish fifth in class this time. The enduro was a great. Managed to do a little better with the start and the opening laps, only to make a rookie mistake with the pit stop. Had the watch running, left the pit box to go back on track, only to realize it wasn't taking near as much time to get to pit exit as I though it would. I slowed down, but there were other cars behind me, so I said the hell with it and went. Two laps later I was black flagged to come in for the 7 seconds I was short. Finished sixth in class. Looking forward to the next race.

Winning the award in those conditions, driving a showroom condition RSA, with the added pressure of not making any contact was incredible! Congrats!
