for as ugly as that centerlock failure was, thankfully it did not rip out more of the suspension and/ or tear out the fender.

Ouch....
I've heard very few happy stories about the centerlocks. Given a choice, I will stick with regular bolts.

Glad you both are OK and the GT3 not trashed out.

No kidding. Other than in a pro race pitstop I too am seeing little to love.

Tony,
I think that when you and I each get our new GT3s we should definitely convert back to studs.

Wait, there was a slogan on the tshirt???
Just reading through all the posts. Eventful weekend. In July I was putting out oil smoke in turn 6 and used about 2 quarts of oil for the weekend. Installed a motorsports version of the AOS in between events and no smoke at any time this weekend. Problem seems to be fixed - Friday morning oil level at 2 bars below full and Sunday night oil level at 2 bars below full. Had a terrific weekend in blue. Great group of folks to drive with and lots of good passing cooperation and good speed in our sessions. Learned a few things from a great instructor and helped me get a bit faster through the turns. Thanks to all who help put the event on and to those who helped arrange the Vets on track. Watched them come off the track Saturday - sure were a lot of smiling faces!
