Yeah, really great day. I punked out, but changed my mind, went home and fetched the car. But I hedged and left the street tires on. Should have taken the 15 extra minutes to mount the track tires. Live and learn ...

Wow really nice day today, cool in the AM no combined run groups made for an empty track all day. Had a great time , good seeing everyone.

Finally ran out of excuses and put in some good laps today as well..

Awesome day. Special thanks to the BMW guys - I had a ton of fun on the skid pad this morning (4 sessions in a row!). Car got better and better as the engine got used to, I guess, running. Really fun day.

Great fun! Today(Sunday) ended up being beautiful! Had several great track sessions and a very enjoyable student. Had one really good track session with Antonio, as well as one with the Honda Hatchback(crazy fast)chasing the Audi R8. Happened to video that one. Will post soon.

Another well run Porsche-fest, great to have and celebrate our vets and hang out with everyone! Thanks PCA Potomic!

Unbelievable day today! I checked the weather at 6am. There was lite rain at the time and the forecast showed a HIGH probability that it was only going to get worse and continue ALL DAY. A couple of hours later the skies started to clear and we had the best weather of the three days......ponderous! The paddock was full of grins and anyone that stuck it out was rewarded with great track conditions.

I was fortunate to take a couple of the Vets for a ride last night and I enjoyed as much, if not more, than they did. It was an honor to give these guys some much deserved fun and appreciation.

As usual, thanks to all who helped to put on this great event and special thanks to Bill C's and his wife for figuring out a way to get the Vets and their families out to the track!

I had a great time this weekend. Struggled a bit at first, but got into a good groove by the end of the first day. Had a good student, which always makes the weekend more rewardable. I need a few more sessions on the skid pad, that's for sure.

comment about Saturday run group schedule (3 sessions only):

These are long days that start very early in the morning. The Friday schedule was 4 runs for every group. The Sunday schedule was a usual with 3 - typical last day shortened schedule. But Saturday was a long day with only 3 runs.

Saturday, it seems that a combination of Taste of the Track and Vet on Track is taking away a session. Kudos to VoT. But do we have to run TotT as well on the same day? Get up at 5am, on track 4+ hours later. Wait 3 more hours to run again. Then wait another 2 hours for last run. Again, kudos for VoT, but 3 runs???

Don't want to bitch without offering a possible solution: How about next year delete the Saturday TofT and have 4 runs for each group even if they have to be a little shorter by a few minutes?

BTW - Great weekend. Fun times. Thanks to the patient track workers that got both my cars off the track. Sorry to those that lost track time. Thanks also to all the help in the pits from fellow PCAP peeps. Special thanks again to Sandy - always ready and willing to lend his expert knowledge and help and special tools!!!

Anyone know of a good 911SC roller or tub I can buy? (the red car's tub is bent too badly to repair)

X2 for vets AND for those who pulled this off at the last minute!

L's trip to the T-10 wall was almost uneventful! But there was gravel everywhere in the car!! Even found some in the map pockets in the doors! Bad news was some got into the engine compartment. Lodged under the lower pulley, bent the pulley and notched the second fan belt. Belt made it all three days but we packed it in early Sunday afternoon after 3 really great days of fast, mostly safe fun.

My log book shows a blown tyre as I turned in at T-1 Friday afternoon! Had just passed several cars track right, entering the brake zone and was “sharing the corner” with another one! Managed to keep it ~under control. But the nearly happy ending to this was most definitely a group effort!

Another exceptionally well run weekend by everyone involved in putting it together and especially for convincing the rain gods to come again another day. Track held up well all three days; unfortunately only had one run on Sunday as need to diagnose reason for antifreeze overflow (first meatball flag for me), but I am hoping it was just excessive pressure when I shut down engine between Vets on Track runs.

As far as Honda Hatchback, somewhat embarrasing to watch him go by, but on the other hand, it was the same for nearly all the Porsches too.

Also able to video first session on Friday in Black - ended there as my suction cup was not tethered and now need to mount more securely. Will post as soon as I figure out how to shorten 24 minute video to allowable parameters.

Great weekend and looking forward to VIR.
