I raced an Alfa there in "G" in 1961. That oval was fun. You lined up on the oval made a 180 and headed off onto the track over a hump.

I did my first driver's ed (PCAP) there in 1966. I heard that someone in a race went off the track into the creek and the foliage was so thick that they had to search to find the car.

I don't remember which car went off the track into the creek. (The car I was driving at the time was a 1960 356B Roadster (no roll bar; no arm restraints).
