Well, he's doing fine except for one sore, very sore, tailbone. Hit something when he was bouncing around in the truck, a million dollar wound you might say. He was NOT wearing a seatbelt, so how he remained in the vehilce through it all is a mystery to everyone we've dealt with today.

He'd been on his way to pick up his girlfriend and drive them to school, when he came up over the crest of a hill. There was a muddy patch in the road there by a farmer's field, and when he hit it on the downside of the hill the tail end came loose. He overcompensated, and went off the side, grazing a tree which rolled the truck, the nose then stuck, and he cartwheeled at least once landing on the passenger side.

I went to look at it today and took the pictures. The truck is mangled beyond belief. Allt he windows were blown out except for the windshield which was merely shattered. The bed, gate, f/r fenders (all of them), the roof, hood and doors are all damaged. There isn't a straight panel on the entire vehicle. The tailgate ended up in the cab, and luckily not on his head. He crawled out, and looked for his phone, seeing it across the street from the scene he called us. He then called his girlfriend (a sweet girl we're happy was not in the car) to tell her he'd just totaled his beloved truck, and she asked, "So I need to find another ride then?"

Ah, yeah...

Gratefully still the father of two teens,

Keith
