Anyone have the order of events for a proper change of front struts? Now that the car is in the air

Brake line (use an extra bleeder cap to seal), or caliper and tie off, tie rod, ball joint, top strut mount. Since you have some time and if you want more excitement do in reverse order :P
Scribe the top mount, don’t move the tie rod end = no need to realign

I have to seperate the ball joint? That is what i wanted to avoid if at all possible. Oh well, whats another $150 right?

Bill you might have enough room with your flared fenders to swap the struts with out removing the ball joint pin.
I have done it by undoing the brake line as discribed by David, unhooking the sway bar, and then pushed the shock piston down with a long screwdriver until I could grab the cover and pull the shock cover off exposing the large nut that holds the strut in. To remove the nut use the koni tool if you have it, if not BF channel locks can handle the job. Pull the old strut out and give it to me.
