Default Rough Guesstimate on stock SC hp?

I've never had the car dyno'ed, but was just wondering if the SC folks have a rough number of power to the wheels? Just a rough ballpark will do.

Thanks!

Mine with SSIs, 2 in 2 out muf, stock air filter (new) pulled 179.9hp ATRW but I round up to 180hp when telling the story

IIRC most run ~165/170 with stock exhaust and muf.

Big variability among dynos. When my Carrera pulled 200 to the wheels down at VIR, others told me not to believe it - it could be off by >5%. Don't believe TR, either. His car pulled 225 BHP!

No way to tell without putting engine on stand. But using 12% - 15% drive train loss it's considerably less than that. You still pull away from me on the front straight at SP. Even if it looks like we’re going to swap paint coming out of T-10.

Might "up-gun" the SC over the winter and try again next season

That's true of all motors....I went from 90 to 278 and I still try and force the gas pedal through the firewall now and then.

Point of reference only, but my 85 Euro Carrera dyno'd at 188 hp at the wheels a year or so ago, which is approximately 19% less than what the stock engine would make from the factory (231 hp). Makes sense with TR's numbers above for drivetrain loss (12-15%) considering it is a tired engine.

Ops, maybe not. Mine hasn'd been apart since '94
