Thanks for the info. Called the local dealership. They use Friction Specific Pads on their Volvo's(guarantee no squeal). $54.00 per set!
Crazy thing is that means they want $450 for labor/brake bleed.........

FWIW, just beware if the calipers are goofy, as they can be on some cars. P-cars tend to have calipers that are very simple to service. But, like our Audi for example, the rear calipers use the caliper as the parking brake, as opposed to separate small drum brake assembly located inside the rotor hat, as used on P-car and many others. The pistons on Audi's rear brakes rotate in the bore to take up slack of pad wear, as well as engaging the parking brake. In order to replace pads, you need to be able to screw the piston back into the caliper to make clearance. Can be a PIA, even with the specialty tools. Confirm pad installation instructions before you dive in unprepared.

Who says they bleed the brakes? Sounds like a no brainer to me.

Do they replace rotors or resurface them? most dealers nowadays assume some type of rotor work when replacing pads.
