I had the same thought. It reminds me of what they do to old aircraft. You can try to spray that stuff, but it never lasts. And if you're spraying white over black plastic, you're doomed.

No shots fired. Based on past threads links to cars seem to be fair game for comment. Direct for sale by Dorki not so much...

Not meant to shoot anybody, messengers or kings, and certainly not you Tuffy. I just call it the way I (and most folks) would see it and I was being generous. But seriously, WTF are you thinking posting a car like that, with an asking price of $20K O.B.O, on a public forum, for someone else, and not expecting to generate discussions or comments on a realistic value to help the seller of the car. Again....., I just call it the way I see it.

Andy

I am not knowledgeable about older cars and I learned a couple of things here. Did a friend a favor and learned a lesson. Will still post this type of information in the future if a friend asks but won't make that mistake again. The comments and discussions about car condition, value and all the rest were great. I learned quite a bit from the discussions. A great learning experience. And I appreciate you taking the time to make sure I understood all of this.

I had a Chevy 302 in my bedroom for six months when I was in college. My mother made me get take it out. Does that qualify a little bit. My uncle had a 911T and I thought it was the neatest thing since sliced bread. But unfortunately in those days, if you couldn't get a small block Chevy in it, it didn't count. That was probably before most of you were born.

Am reading voraciously about older PCars but I missed the chapter about the 1972 Turbos. My goal is to eventually buy an old one and try to fix it up. And then I can come over from the dark side. I remember my first Dorki DE at SP. Showed up with a water cooled PCar. It took three months before anyone would talk to me.

And yes for you non believers, I did get my start with the Dorki crew.
