To bad you guys didn't run a 911. BP could have sponsored the inevitable oil leak.
I think I saw at least 2 BP cars there, maybe 3, but not 911s.

Heard some dude ran a yellow flag and had to write "I will not pass under yellow" 100 times on his car w/ a sharpie.

Lulz. i believe the phrase was "just because we drive a bmw doesn't mean we can pass under yellow" and it was a team effort, so 25 each. the flagging saturday was HORRIBLE, absolutely horrible. the flaggers clearly had little to no experience flagging and no idea what the should be doing. however, some of them were nice to look at. i heard the organizers said they will not come back next year if the flagging issue is not resolved.

i think there were 3 "BP" cars there that I saw. a blue/black BMW one was near us in the tech line. there was a vw golf one too.

I think it was closer to 8 or 9. Everyone seemed to have an oil theme; from a derrick on the roof to a tarred bird on the fender. To be original, you need to pick a hot topic from the 80's.. Iran Contra would probably be a good theme!

right now we need to figure out why it died at the end of the race. we had thought that maybe it was low fuel because of the RPM shutter but it wasn't THAT low on fuel. still had most of the 1/4 tank left. we put a few gallons in and it still wouldn't crank. some suggestions from others have been focused on the fuel pump. there were a host of other issues that we had, but mostly we just tightened the bolts until the oil leaks stopped.

hopefully we can bring it back to life and do it all over again. but that is TBD.

Our smoke screen was effective yet inconspicuous for most of the race, but after the motor went it just got a bit silly.

We placed 73th out of 84 cars that actually got out of the paddock and posted times.

Best lap was 2:07.594 on lap #11 (yes, that was me, thank you very much)
