It's getting close to that time to buy new pads and would like to hear a comparison between these pad makers from people who have used both. I've been using Pagids for the last 3 years, yellows front, black rears, and have been happy with them. I have heard that the PF01's or PF97's are comparable. How does the longevity, modulation, and price compare between the 2 brands?

Consider Hawk HT10. I like em on the M3 and the 911. I dunno about a Turbo sled though.

Larry:
I have found that the RS19 tend to last longer than others and help reduce caliper temperatures. This was based on the same driver, same car racing on the same tracks. Of course the are a lot of variables like driving style, car set up, tires, HP, car weight etc. PFC 01s are great pads. I think the way for you to get the best answer is to try a set on your car with you driving. That being said, you seem very happy with what you are running which is a good combination, that you are comfortable with so why fix what isn't broken? Pricing on both the PFC and Pagid are as follows: PF01 and 97 front: $234.10, Rear $263.19 Pagid RS19 front, $334.40, rear RS14 $264.44 Feel free to give me a call or send me an email if you would like to discuss. Thanks, __________________

I have used PF 97 and Pagids (Orange and Black). Considering my lack of skills, I cannot tell a damn bit of difference between the two. That is not talking about the brake feel which is whole nother discussion, but longavity and rotor friendliness. I need a new set of pads after a race weekend or equal amount of DEs.
I hope to grow up somday and be like the guys who can evaluate the inital bite and after taste and burp smell, but I don't think that I live long enough or frankly care. |

If the initial bite and pedal modulation with the HT-10s was the same as the Pagid oranges, they would be the perfect pads for my Targa at this point in my DE career. Sadly the Oranges left a lot of uneven deposits from overheating, which is why I had to switch.

Looking at the Hawk site, they list OG Racing as a dealer. Yet the site doesn't show Hawk pads. It sure would be nice if they carried HT-10s. Mark??

I found that the PF 97's, PF 01's and the Pagid oranges were too equal to justify the extra money that they want for Pagids and the fact that you need to bed the Pagids in. (PITA in my opinion ) PF's are install and go. Yellows might be different but still more coin.
