WW = Water Wetter
mist = most
g = ???
We = ???

I need help on the last two.

Water Wetter added to 50/50 coolant seemed to help a bit on temps in my fo fo. I recall the manufacturer saying it was more effective with straight watter.

Ha ha... I apologize, I am typing on my Droid. Sometimes it decides to write what it wants too...
But really You did a great job decoding my encrypted Droid language.
"G" is nothing..
"We" was supposed to be WW, but my phone "fixed?" it.
OK anyway. I might try some WW then. Really I am only concerned because it is affecting my oil temp and pressure.

What year is your 944? how many miles? Did you install an oil temp gauge? I know my '87 has water temp and oil pressure

Clarks garage indicates oil pressure at idle should be between 2-3. Only worry if closer to 1. So.. where is yours approx?

John should have known that by the lack of a signature.

I have been thinking about cooling on my 944. The front plate actually covers some of the effective cooling of the radiator. I think. I've been thinking of removing it for the track, I have seen the effects a blocked/covered radiator has on the "oval" tracks. Maybe I should actually add some tape for more downforce....damn, my red neck is showing.

In all seriousness, I wonder what the added benefit might be.

Take the plate off, Steve, it WILL run cooler.

That's it? You don't have water pressure? Water pressure gauge is particularly important if you track your car.

When the car gets warm, are both fans coming on high or just the single fan at low speed?

For wiring a manual switch, all you have to do is complete the ground circuit at the temp switch at the rad or at the relay (at least in my turbo). I'm not using a fuse on either line (I have both the low speed and hi-speed switched via separate switches) and haven't had a problem.

Since my signature is missing: 87' 944na, 175k and rising, daily driver.
No after market gauges just yet.. As time goes on, I would like to add gauges and switches everywhere. So when I start my car it will be like starting a small airplane!
-remove the key style ignition, and replace it with a ridiculous amount of stainless steel toggle switches! Ha ha

To close this post in case someone searches "944 temp"

My water pump seized on Thursday, I replaced it over the weekend. Now the temp runs right in the middle all the time, even in traffic with the outside temperature over 100 degrees!
It appears my water pump was slowly failing, and was unable to keep my water temperature where it should have been.
When the pump seized it did destroy my timing belt, it did not break; but the belt was shredded pretty bad... 'phew'
