Hmmm. A lot of people in different cars wave at me. It's like they're motioning me to get out of the way or something .

I find a lot of P-car folks don't wave. Interestingly enough, less than a mile from the dealer, on the way home from picking up my TDI Cup, I had a random wave from a Jetta. I find I get more waves in the TDI Cup than the Boxsera.

I keep waving to Porsches even when I'm in the Jetta. I get the same WTFAY look I get when driving the Boxsera.

It's a vicious cycle. You wave at another P-car driver. He/she doesn't wave back. You feel like a dork, so you don't wave when you see another P-car driver. He/she waves. You feel like a dork and think, "I shoulda waved." So ...

The VW crew used to be alot like bikers where if you car looks anything above stock you get a wave/nod. Its been a few years since ive been in that scene but i still love the cars. Older Gti owners are especially car guys the newer ones tend to just be a mix of people who just liked the car and enthusiasts.

I rarely get waves from porsche guys, mainly cause i drive an SUV with a porsche sticker (among other racing stickers on it) but even when in the gt3 i dont get to many waves more of looks of awe and jealousy with a hint of that kids too young (haha calling myself a kid)

I came for a GTI to my 911, i still miss my gti, it was a little rediculous when i sold it (it is currently in lexington va with 492whp and still fwd) i had it as a street car since i bought it in 98 and was my first track car and i lapped alot of pcars with that little lunchbox.
If you know vw/audi youll understand my screen name.

here are some pics to spruce up this post
