Default 964 rear calipers ?

I'm looking to upgrade my 2 pot rear calipers with the 4 pots. Is there anything other than the calipers I'll need to change? Also what would be a fair price for a used set ? (assuming they will need new seals)

Me too. Best place I've found for brembo rebuild parts was Jazz thread at http://dorkiphus.net/porsche/showthr...rembo+rebuilds)

Have since bought many kits PLUS they started carrying the rebuild kits for the early rears>

Here you go (from thread):

http://zeckhausen.com/

Shop is known for have "clutch delay valve" (CDV) delete for all manual BMWs since the E46 3 series. CDV is a fluid flow restrictor in hydraulic line just before the clutch slave cylinder that increases wear on disc, DMF, etc...and gives modern manual BMWs a shitty clutch/pickup feel.

Details here.

Stupid part, stupid design.

Just curious of the performance advantage? Seems between ABS and the front brakes doing the bulk of the work I wonder what you would gain by the conversion?

A larger pad with more surface area will last longer, so might save some $$ in the long run. Plus don't forget the convenience of using the exact same pad front and rear.

And actually being able to find the pads at the track. Front 964 and four puck rear calipers all use the time tested 930 pad size, which every race shop has - most importantly OG and CDOC track side. The 2 puck rear calipers take some oddball size that gets you look akin to the dog-with-its-head-cocked-to-the-side-in-confusion from the race shops folks when you ask for them.

And finally, if Porsche felt saw fit to change them, there must have been a good reason, right?

I had overlooked the pad issue (running the same on all corners) which is a nice luxury. Does the rear rotor change out as well? (ie, thicker rotors?) or is the rotor the same size for all years 964?

One of my questions as well. I have a good lead on a set and need to know if I need to change out the rotors and/or brake lines as I can get these as well.

Will the current master cylinder have the capacity to handle the larger calipers?

Do you need to change the brake bias with this upgrade?
