Yeah.. I was thinking that no matter how big the bribe (which usually works) you won't pass MD inspection missing a quarter panel. Even more so when that quarter panel includes the headlight assembly.

Just register it historic, it's 20yrs old, right?
If you are driving on the street, why not just weld a 3 point belt mount to the cage? Streets belts do a good job at their intended purpose.

No insp for historic in MD.
While I like the MD system (as it benefits me) its still a terrible idea. VA's system is better (I grew up there so I know both.) The number of brake lights out here in MD is an epidemic. At least once a month I see cars w/ all 3 lights out. And if average people are neglecting their brake lights, what do you think they're doing w/ their brake pads?  Heck, I'm a gear head and have lets the pads get REALLY bad on some of my daily drivers before I noticed.

It will be registered as "historic." 3-points removed for cage install ("recommendation" of Mitch Piper). I'll be doing VERY limited driving, to the track or to a shop, or for an emergency.
