Lucky dog living in Hawaii. I used to come over when living in California. Still my dream to live there once my family obligations are complete here in winter world. Which island are you on? I have a soft spot for Maui. What is gas costing over there now?

lol. i am on oahu..i though tmaui was beautiful scenery wise..but wayyy wayyy to many tourist and its more expensive than oahu. i wanna live on kona(big island)

what really sux is highway speed limits are 50/55 and people usually do them in the left lane or go slower. and the racism towards white people is insane. my wife was born and raised here so we moved back due to a good job but i have been getting word i will be PCS'n somewhere :\

avg cost of 92 is $2.55. not so bad really...considering it was $5 from may-aug last year.

fun tho..porsche scene is pretty lively here..i see alot, but alot less on the forums..and as usual i love picking on those unsuspecting 911TT's lol.

how has everyone been!! i truly miss the capital area. one of the best car scenes in the USA hands down.

btw living here is not as glamorous as it might seem, super expensive, a bit more than cap area, but the taxes and other stuff they get ya with is killer..and traffic is almost as bad as nova/dc/md...

i finally picked up a 930 like had always wanted..but ended up having to sell it due to moving here..couldn't fit 3 cars and i had to choose my car and wifes or both of mine..lol. so i took the "finished" project with me. :\

if anyone ever comes to visit, i got all the nice beaches, secluded and crowded, local foods, tasty foods, wine bars,etc all plotted and such. jus give me a holla!!

How can you enjoy a turbo in Hawaii with the speed limit and cops the way they are? I heard there is a race track on Oahu. Is that true? Do you ever go? Hawaii may not be as glamorous as people think, but it sure the hell beats winter. Except for the great people I've met through the Porsche club, I think it sucks around here. Springtime[now] is beautiful. I would love to be snorkeling right now.

lol yeah driving laws are crazy here..but...laser defuser(sp) detector and such are legal.

there are actually alot of imported goodies here and its fun to see them, the mentality and the outlook is kinda warped, instead of food and a place to live, people buy clothes and an expensive car for status. insane.

and i agree winter sucks..but with only a couple parts missing..i am jones'n for snow so i can get to work on going AWD. i hope to have my Racelogic traction control and WOT box finished by next weekend. oh and the track was closed 2 years ago?? huge drama there..but there is one in the works...and i am fortunate enough to be helpign with it. currently its a large plot of land and mor eis being purchased, and rally crosses are held there.

a big plus tho, is autox is ALL YEAR ROUND. we have 4 "sessions" and there is a ton of interesting and fast cars/drivers out here. awesome stuff. got a guy with a huugge late 90's impala who is an AMAZING DRIVER.
