I'm shocked at the 996. I've seen it listed for the better part of 6 months. Usually in the 20-23K range. They must really want it gone.

I saw in the Post TWO '99 996s for sale. one cab, one coupe, both with about 40K miles. The coupe was asking $23K and the cab iirc, maybe $26K. I thought the coupe price seemed low (given the miles).

I think the 78+ ones are. They've already skyrocketed in value. I think the 3.0 ones will forever be like the mid-year 911s. Its really nothing more than an SC w/ a turbo thrown on and some flares (and should be priced accordingly). You don't get ANY of the super cool stuff the intercooled cars have.

OK, I'll bite. What does that mean? I thought be definition, a turbo having car had to have an intercooler? What's the difference between this car and say a 78? Really?
