Here's a video from my Blue checkout ride at the end of the day Sunday. Bob (shit I can't remember his last name) rode with me and offered lot's of great tips. I was running consistent 1:38's going by the video clock...slow....but at least consistent. Sorry the video is 20+ minutes with 6+ minutes of me sucking up to Bob. I had a great weekend, nothing major broke, didn't have any significant offs, wore out some brakes, rolled some fenders.

Bob Mulligan is the name you are looking for. he's a stand up guy and a fun person to have in the right seat. i try to have him sit shotgun every chance I get. he's also a hoot to ride with if you get the chance.

Tim, nice smooth and consistent lines, I think you missed the apex on T1 couple of times, but as speeds increase that is to be expected from time to time. Welcome to the Blue group, hope to see you again next season.

Ya I got that impression from him. What is not in the video is 10 minutes of Bob rewinding and going through all the things I need to work on for next years DE season. He really knows how to verbalize? driving techniques. I had Toby for an instructor as well and he definately helped my line and worked on braking deeper into T1 and T5,T10. Kudos to them both and everyone else that has offered up advice this year.
Thanks

Not quite Blue yet. I'll have to do another checkout at the first event next season. I'll get there, just not yet.

It's Robert Mitchell. He was my instructor the rest of the weekend.

Hey Tim,

It was fun riding with you last weekend. Bob Mulligan was your check out instructor. If he has an empty passenger seat you should ask to ride with him once. Bob is seriously quick.

Nice to see everyone at the track last weekend, too. My car ran well for the first time in 3 events, which was a relief. I was also lucky enough to be accepted to skid pad training. In additonal to the new fun skills I learned, it was also a good tuning opportunity to confirm and dial-out (some of) the excess lift throttle oversteer I felt on track.

And congrats to all that are promoted last weekend (Tim, Lane to Black, Peter to White, and others)

Toby

Default Pictures from Nov 08 DE

Here's a link to my pictures from last weekend's DE. Definitely a fun weekend. Couldn't ask for better weather. And nice to see the 944S2 back in action again! FTS was a fun student. Had fun riding with Hoop. And learned I need to learn more down at the skidpad.

Here's a link to the gallery of pics I was able to get (sorry I couldn't get everyone... ):
