Default Welcome!

Welcome, Chief!

I don't know jack about FI (carbs are hard enough!) but there are Dorkis here who will work through this with you and get your SC back on the road.

I'm in Woodbridge too, Buck. Come on by or send me a PM with contact info.

Photos of your ride are always welcome. Encouraged even.

Hoo-ah,
Andy

Default Introduction

Hello all. Long time listener, first time caller... I would like to introduce myself and hopefully be a part of this esteemed clan. My name is Dwayne and I live in the Mount Vernon area of Fairfax County. I am an engineer by day, and incredibly successful racecar driver by night - usually between midnight and 5AM. I have a pretty cool wife (when it comes to car stuff) and three kids who have practically grown up around the track. I've been a member of PCA since 1995 and have owned two 914's, one 944 and three 911SC's. I currently have a 1983 911SC for the street and a 1982 911SC racecar. I've been a Porschephile since I was in grade school.

My goal here is to participate in the fantastic track and technical banter and hopefully pick up a few tips that might make me a little faster on the track. I promise to be only as sarcastic as necessary and to give more than I take (sounded bad I know).

I look forward to meeting many of you online, in the pddock and on the track.

Ha! For those who don't know Dwayne, this is not a serious comment! Let's hope you share a little, Dwayne. Glad to have you on the board.

Welcome to the sandbox Dwayne! I see that you've owned at least one 944, so I expect you to support us when the 911 guys start bashing.

Welcome Dwaine! I’m sure you will have much to add to this forum! For those who may not know him, Dwayne is a long time Club Racer with many podium finishes. His “race laps” on SP are legendary and it’s not unusual for him to lap a lot of the cars in his class during a race! That said, and since he droves essentially the same car as me I hate him for being so much better at this than I am
