Porsche probably manipulated the stock although apparently the level of disclosure was legal in Germany. I gotta say it's nice to see the usual suspects take it in the shorts (as it were). Karma's a bitch.

This article from a couple weeks ago explains the mechanism and must have made those holding the short positions feel really, really bad. Or more bad, I guess, given the market.

Excellent idea!...Too bad that concept lost interest over here. That's what happens when too many smart people figure it's much easier to profit off margin than to profit off mfg. It will take the Chinese and Indian(insert favorite cheep labor here)labor force to want to be living the dream and demand a fair wage to bring mfg back here. Sad but true.

I was joking when I typed it, but there might be something to it. Too bad none of them were humble enough to own a cheap track car that I would even buy at 50 cents on the dollar.

Dont forget the consumers who would rather buy a cheap product versus a locally made product. Low cost manufacturing can take place in the US, just ask Kia, Hyundai, & all the other "imports" that make their cars here. The issue is visionary leadership that prefers low cost supplier to low cost country, if your customers will allow it.
