Default Holly cutback batman

Well at the close of the day Friday, I was pulled into the office and was informed that I was one of the 3 guys that are gettting layed off. The reason given to me was that my type of work just isn't comming in the door. I kinda felt it was going to happen but not this soon. I have been doing alot of domestic and asian work the last few months. Man I hate having to shake the bushes.
Anybody wanna hire a big mouth, arogant, redneck? I have tools.
I have been suffering a bad case of burn-out for the last few years, so I may just jump ship and find a new way.
The fishing is awesome this time of year, ask me how I know.

Sorry to hear, Rick, but I think you have the right approach in looking at this as an opportunity to change things you don't like about your current situation.

Geez this couldn't happen to a nicer fellow. Rick goes out of his way to help people and deserves a lucky break here.

Sorry to hear your bad news Rick. But if you play it right and have a little luck, you may look back at this as "good news." Good luck! Agree with your willingness to help out always being appreciated. Plus, us 6', 5" guys need to stick together.

Ouch. I still remember when it happend to me back in the recession and down sizing of the computer business of '70. The longest day of your life is the first day out of work.

For the moment, your new job is finding a job. Good luck. Wish I was in a position to help.

Sorry, Rick Too bad you aren't closer to NoVa, as I would bet you could get a bit of work from Dorki members up here. I have to believe you can land another job pretty easily with your experience. And if you decide to try something else, I hope you find something interesting and rewarding!

Sorry to hear it Rick! I've BTDT a few years ago myself, and while it was upsetting at first, it proved a great opportunity to move on to something better. Best of luck whichever direction you decide to go!

Wow. I wonder if we could create a "virtual shop" to keep you busy? It's our civic duty to keep you away from "domestic and asian work."
