Default Off to the Outer Banks in the morning - wish me luck and great weather. :oP

Heading out around 0730 and heading to Pine Island in Corolla. A couple days of golf, a day of fishing, and the rest of the week just relaxing is ALL I have planned.

Be back in a week.

You might want to take an H1 (I've heard they can drive in 4' of standing water).

You may be one of the brightest people here. With the lack of damage left behind, and the speed Hanna is moving, you should have great weather and an empty beach, after your ride down. That should be a blast though. Good luck, drive safe.

This same senerio happened to me a few years ago with "Charlie" I think. The storm went inland and all we had was some cool surf and Beautiful week afterwards.
Nothing was crowded!

It might be an old wives' tale, but it seems like the weather is always AWESOME in the week following a hurricane. Good luck!

Arrived safely in 5 hours. The ride down sucked from Herndon to the 295 split just north of Richmond. Lots of cars going off the road, but luckily we had no issues. Overcast until 4pm, then all was good from there on out.

Here is the rental office to pick up the keys.

Early evening.

Lined up to go fishing on Thursday. Hoping that Ike doesn't throw a wrench in the plans.

Nice, enjoy your week. Make sure to stop by "Captain Frank's" hot dogs b/t Kitty Hawk and Nags Head for lunch. Get the chicago dog.
