Default Ferrari DE at Summit Main. I lost, but I'm protesting.

I'm thinking that the GT3s and F430s should be carrying at LEAST 800 lbs of "rewards weight" if they are in my run group!

It was lots of fun. If you haven't run with the Washington Ferrari/Maserati/Lambo group, it's worth a try. It's a loose and relaxed group (maybe 'cause they're all rich?) but they seem to run a serious event.

WARNING: There are NO momentum cars. Of 120 attendees, I'm pretty sure I had the lowest HP (excluding the Smart Car that they used to survey the track). I started in the Blue Group and there were a few opportunities to surprise some faster cars; but then I was moved to Red and I was just damn lucky to get out of everyone's way. And on that theme -- it was good to meet Ryan and his GT3 squadron. In fact, I met them all at least once each session!

Next time, let me know and I'll go in the Miata. This way you can outmuscle something.

Ferrari Club threw another great event. Tons of track time. Nice group of GT3's which ran in a fun pack most the time. Car performed great. Amazing what a front swaybar can do (got my car realigned and broken front drop link fixed last week). Turned a bunch of mid 1:21s. The track is still crap. Compared my data to last year after the repave and saw I losing over a second in both T1 and T6/7 combined because of the ruts. Event was well under subscribed, so lots of clear track ... guess the f-car guys can't afford the gas either

For those who have never done this event, definitely recommend!

Glad to hear the whip is running well. Is it true that at the Ferrari events, catered lunches of lobster, prime rib, and caviar are served at lunch?

I instructed at they "National" event a couple of years ago, but the food was Chez Summit possum and road pizza.

that's what I remember; but, it is probably because at their 'Parade' equivalent, they like to introduce a little bit of local color/cuisine.

I found that I could avoid the worst of the washboard by running really tight (some curb) in Turn 1 and Turns 5 and 6 (when there wasn't a puddle in Turn 6).

I still ended up ruining my left front RA1 (corded outside edge). I needs more camber.

Here's pictures taken by me, and my 9 year old son (quite the shutterbug):
