Default Open Lift Day pics @ RJ's house

hey guys,

first, thanks to RJ for the great gathering we had at his house today, what a great host. i was alex, the son of doug who drove the red '02 C4S there, i had the massive camera hanging down from my neck

i've hosted the pictures on my website at http://supercarfreak.net/gallery/album962?page=5
i've censored all license plates in regards to respect

unfortunately my camera battery died before i was even close to being done taking pics, but enjoy

Nice shots. Unfortunately, there were no pictures of "ghetto row", otherwise known as designated Dorki parking.

thanks.

hahah, are you referring to the row of cars parallel to the house (on the street before the driveway)?

my camera was 2/3rds charged before I came and of course it died, I wasn't too happy

anyway on one of the cars in that row, a gold 911 SC(?) had a SCWDP sticker (your car?) which was cool because I was wondering what it stood for because another 911 on the left-side lift had that exact plate

Get it right Talon, SC World Domination Patrol, AKA "SC, We Dig Plots" for Carreras, long noses, and anyone else that wishes to challenge.
Dave, don't be mad just because your allegiance is with CDP "Carrera Daydreamer's Patrol" .

Ahem Gold , it's called tobacco metallic brown, but Dorki's like Dave D. , Ted, and Jim often refer to it as "the POS that kept passing me on the track" :P .

What a circus today was. It was a lot of fun. Huge thanks to Bill M., Richard C., Marc and all who did most of my turbo tie rod install. I'm still awed by how much more work that was than doing them on my 993, which I did almost alone in about an hour. I was very satisfied to get that done, a tranny fluid flush, get my speedo working again and, of course, hang with the gang and eye candy. RJ is quite the host. Believe you me when I say he enjoyed this event more than any of us did. He's got a teenager's enthusiasm for cars and is too busy working to play with them as much as we all do. His wife actually thanks me when I go over there to tinker with him for "keeping him relaxed". I'll try to get him a little more involved with this gang and will definitely push him to the track. He's raced for years in Japan, but I don't think he's done it here yet. What an awesome garage, fleet and hospitality, eh?

RL, please thank Ryuji for hosting the open lift day and for his great hospitality . I had a real good time checking out his serious collection, he has some amazing cars. I really liked his 356, the color was neat. My favorite out of all of them is the White Ruf Turbo.

Definately a day to remember, beautiful cars, great food, and great people. RJ's cars aren't just beautiful, they are unique. My favorite quote of the day from RJ was, "The Porsche's are for driving, the Ferrari's are social cars...."
