Argh, well lesson learned. I guess anything is possible, the parts I got I thought were Neatrix, but they did come in a bag. Without anything else. I got the goop from ASG, tool luckially Steve already had. Ordering from ER at lunch.

Michael took some measurements [not that we have what size the OD is supposed to be] of the OD of the bushings in hand. IIRC, he then measured the ID of the torsion bar tube housing and there was a difference. I understand this is a compression fit but ... I think the OD fo the bushing [not even on the spring plate] was larger by X than the ID of the housing.

Interesting. After wrestling with the red bushings, I put in Neatrix, and they were soft black rubber and fit perfectly. Dunno what you got...

Seems like something in between.

I got, black maliable plastic that came nothing close to fitting properly. Awesome!

It felt like Neatrix....Mike, is there a rear equivalent to that "restoration" grade stuff you bought for the front? Maybe you got that?

Why in fact there is:

http://www.paragon-products.com/prod...lt_pb-004p.htm

Not sure if that is what I have but of course I can see the confusion: Neatrix / Polygraphite restoration. Sounds the same.

LOL, which might explain the quantity received as well.

Not sure if it's entirely applicable (but a 911 spring plate looks a lot like a 944 one), but apparently the outer diameters of the torsion bar housing vary enough that Racer's Edge sells their 944 Delrin bushings too small on purpose, expecting them to be machined to the proper diameter.

Sorry to hear things didn't get any easier when I took off. I'm guessing Mike's car remains on the lift... You never know what you are going to run into when you start a project do you?

Drive back was much more direct BTW; no wondering detours.

Good luck, Gordo
