Default Security TORX PLUS screwdriver

TORX Plus tamper resistant.

I need a 5 point screwdriver bit - with a longish reach, maybe 3". Not sure of the size, maybe 8 or 10.

is what I want - but Wiha won't sell them to me! Where the heck do you get these bad boys?

Lara specialty tools - http://www.lara.com/torx-plus-tr.htm sells them too, but wants a letter stating I'm an authorized serviceperson for the equipment.

Do you think being a dorki counts?

yeah, I lost the T20 or T15 that takes the MAF out and had to go back to sears to buy a whole new kit. BTW: they will tell you they don't carry the security Torx bits anymore... But they do. A whole set cost under $30 bucks and came with multiples of the T20 and T15.

nope. nada. plenty of torx tamper resistant, but that's a 6 point star with a pin in the middle. TORX Plus TR is a 5 point star, no pin. Distribution is strictly limited by the manufacturer, Textron. I'm trying to hack it with a dremel from a hex bit, but it ain't easy.

If you steal a TV from a hotel, and bring it home......will you still get billed for the "late nite" programming??

Bob I don't understand why these tools are under such tight wraps. Could you please clarify?
