I don't get it. So you didn't have a broken stud, but you broke one in checking??

Ouch, that does suck.

Well, it probably was ready to break anyway...?

Let me know when the drop is I'll try to get there as well.

No, no, no. I checked the studs on the exhaust side which are more commonly known to break. They were all fine so I decided to do a leakdown test to check for other issues. As I was proceeding with the test I discovered that one of the head studs on the intake side is broken.

As for what's next - at a minimum I'll do all studs and send the heads out to be reworked. I may go with a 964 cam grind, which leads to rocker refurb, which leads to...

Wow Kirk, sounds like your about to have some fun playing out all different kinds of scenarios with your engine, I'd definitely be interested in helping out with an engine drop.

Tito has the yoke, stud puller and cam crows foot Ryan just used for his stuffing. Sounds like you are next. See if he responses to the this thread, so he can get those to you.
