Default scrapping two 944's

I had to pass on two 944's that are destined for the scrapyard if the owner can't find an immediate home. I think they could be had cheap(real cheap) and would be delivered. One of the two is a donor car....neither run and need work. Would probably make good track cars. I hate to see them crushed....call me on the cell if you want them.

Of course now you need a bunch of parts to go with the project. I know a guy (goes by steelspine) who has a complete 951 motor and 95% of a 1986 951 just waiting to be transplanted into your new project.

Details! What years? Condition? How much? I'm surprised you got to them before Dave Riley did. We all know how much he loves working on 944s .

Where do I start...
One is a fairly decent 87 944. Interior could use some work. The engine turns over, chances are it's either a bad fuel pump relay or a bad fuel pump. I'll get it sorted out once it comes off the truck. Car has a good title.

The second car is in fact a late '70s 924. Flawless interior, exterior rusted to hell... No title, strictly a donor.

THe guy is also selling a 914 for... ready....$200. Haven't seen it in person, but from what he says the biggest flaw (besides the car not running) is a rust spot on the fender.
I'll snap some pictures when the seller unloads the cars at my house tomorrow or the day after...

Siberian -

I see you've updated your sig already . So lets see - you went from 0 to 3 Porsches in what - a month or so? Nice job - I'm envious. Very cool you got an 87 944 out of the deal - it has the MUCH better interior. IMO, the early 944 and 924 interiors are hideous. Post some pics if you get a chance.
