Default Brake Pad Life Span

How long are you getting out of your pf97's? I'm tired of hearing about track days and am bringing my SC out of retirement for 2-3 weekends this fall. I have at least a weekend left on the existing pads (dersix's) but want to pick up a set just in case. I really dont want to spend the $$ on 97's or another set of dersix's as I really will only be doing a couple events on the pads.

So, how much life are you getting out of 97's? Anyone using EBC Yellow Stuff? I've heard good things about PBR Ultimate Ceramic, anyone have these on a SC or Carrera?

I know I should just buy the 97's but $200+ for a weekend of use isnt in the cards right now.

Thanks for any ideas

I'm getting about 4-5 events per set of pads for PF97s.

My bad, my 97s last most of the season (20-23) days. I'm not hard on pads or tyres. Get almost the same from a set of RA1s. In fact most of my RA1 (not flat spotted) go hard before cord shows.

1990 C2, 2960lbs (with me in it), big red, hoosiers, I've gotten 12 days out of PF97 pads (about 35% pad left), BUT, more importantly my rotors are now 2 years old. Will replace them before the Sebring club race in 2008, however. I was using Hawk Blue prior. Great pads, but I was going through rotors rather quickly.

Thanks guys

I'm slow and getting back after a year layoff so I'm sure I'll be on the brakes a lot more than I need to.
