don't worry, we've all been there... i've had a few skirmishes w/ the constabularies in my past, and i'm sure i'll have a few more. while at times it has curbed my antics, there are still moments when i just get 'overcome' and do something 'fun' while in the car. i can't help myself.

case in point, i'm missing 3rd gear so it's luggin'-around-in-4th-gear for me now, but the runs to redline in 2nd sure make up for it. thanks to riley's stock muffler, i'm actually quiet(er) and hopefully less conspicuous

sorry ab the cancelled vacation. it's probably the most painful outcome of this whole situation. look at the bright side, in 2 yrs you'll be able to look back and laugh about all this. probably around 5pm-ish, in the paddock

We all do stupid things from time to time. I just got popped for 17 over in Manasshole city on my favorite test drive road. He may have heard my coming, I was checking "my work" on a Dodge Magnum SRT-8. Fun car by the way, euro chassis and USA torque.

If you are open to a suggestion, try this. Call and tell them you are going to have an operation on the date specified. Then ask for a date BEFORE the date on the notice. You may get a break and the man may not show up. It costs nothing and is a long shot. But ...

Read your sig, doc. You're "Peter not Pete".

I meant to say Ted, though.

Referring to your notes to refresh your memory is one thing. Relying totally on your notes and/or report is something entirely different. If I understand correctly, the report itself is inadmissable.

BS on not allowing the report too. Although with most traffic citations there won't be a report to go off of because there is no need for one to be written. However, if it were a case where the offender was taken to jail and a report was written it would be totally admissable in court. Most likely he'll be able to read a report or his notes verbatim into evidence.
