I was surprised to hear some of the opinions about the Shenandoah Circuit at the March PCA Potomac DE at Summit Point. So much so, that I think it's worthy of a poll. I'll go on the record saying that I love SC and wish there were more events there.

As a driving course, I enjoy it very much. The original pit road setup was pretty goofy, but they've tried to correct it. OTOH, I've also heard its a tough course from the passenger seat (motion sickness patches mandatory?).

I enjoy it. Since it is a low-speed course and many turns are off-camber, it is great for sliding the car around and perfecting car control skills. That being said, I really don't need more than 1 weekend a year on it.
I find the carroussel to be rough on tires, suspension, and seat mounts/sliders due to the high-gees. Fun though! I voted for "OK" -- if you add a "really like it, but don't need more events on it" option, I'd vote for that.

Love the track. Am planning to go 3-4x this year. (with Potomac, NNJR, and Mazda)

I like the track, though my experience is it is tougher on tires and brakes. I believe it also has fewer openings available because of the length/car capacity guidelines.

Neat track for once a year, but very unforgiving if you make just one mistake (concrete walls are everywhere they shouldn't be). W/ far more runoff it would be a blast to actually push the learning curve since it has so many sections that would be perfect for that. The carousel is a car breaker. Getting airborne @ the bridge straight is semi retarded. Just too slow overall except the 3 turn seq before the start/finish straight.

How about an option for "Never been there and have no interest in going there"?
With Watkins Glen and VIR six hours or less away, as well as the very underrated CMP (Carolina Motorsports Park) track in South Carolina 8.5 hours away, I'd rather drive further, or just go to the main track, for a DE.

I'm no expert on track design; not by a longshot; but I'm not hesitant to weigh in. I prefer MidOhio, which also is technical but at the same time elegant. SC doesn't seem elegant; more like someone just created a laundry list of technical elements, then strung them together in a course based not so much on flow as the need to fit within a given geographic footprint.
