Default HEs drop tool needed

Hi,
I am hoping to drop my HEs this weekend and would like to know if anyone have the 8mm long hex socket that is needed to remove the HE nuts for loan?. I will return it on the same day. Thanks for your help. Best, Andy

Wishful thinking !!! Just kidding.

If they haven't been off (as in ever) then get ready for war. Pre-soak, get a MAPI torch, have a dremel cut off wheel nearby, bring LOTS of patience. If they have been off ... ignore all of the above.

Yes,
That was what I though last night when I went to WD40 the nuts. They didn't even need the wd40. At least the 13mm nuts don't. They turned with minimal effort. The only ones that I have not tried are the 8mm hex nuts. But I expect them to be the same. Looks like the previous owner put some antiseazing compound on it. Thank god. now, if only I can get my hands on that 8mm hex socket Andy

I have one if you want to make the drive.
It would have to be before 7:30 this evening or wait till Sat Morning.
I'll pm my cell phone.

I also have one but Mt. Vernon is like the dark side of the moon from you. I recently found that air tools work really well on the hex head or barrel nuts. Course they were removed 7 years ago! Air chisel the others

You're welcome to borrow mine if you don't want to make the hike to Mt Vernon. I'm in Fairfax near the intersection of FFX county parkway and Rt50.
