Default Need exhaust swap out help

I'm a little embarrassed to ask for help, as I understand its a very simple procedure -- need help taking off muffler (which bolts on to turbo) and putting on racing cat for emissions, then putting muffler back on afterwards (heh). I'm sure if I had a proper jack I could figure this out myself but I'm in a little money crunch right now. I actually would like to start being able to do basic stuff on the car anyways. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Where are you located? What kind of condition is your exhaust in?

Hey, thanks for replying. The muffler is a brand new Fabspeed single outlet (great exhaust note btw). The cat is a custom racing cat, which is just a cat and a pipe sticking out. It was lent to me by the mechanic in memphis who did my efi conversion.

If your local you can swing by my place and I'm sure we can knock it out quick. I would suggest having new gaskets and hardware.

I'm in Burke, VA which is right next to George Mason U in Fairfax, VA. Or if that doesn't help, about 25 minutes south of Wash DC.

I don't mind taking a little ride to MD, I like excuses to drive. Besides, I can get emissions in MD which is acceptable to DMV.

Hey If you do it in Burke, I can drop by and help out. I'm just up the road. I think the general rule is that if you can't get it off, you need to apply heat or the whizz wheel when that fails. PM if you do it in Burke, I don't have either of those tools, but will gladly help out where I can.

Hey, you're right out in my neck of the woods, I live across from the courthouse.

Come out to the meet on Saturday, I am sure you will be able to get a couple people to help you out!

Ahh, would have made it but out of town. And I'll miss the fun run, too looks like. VAsteve -- thanks for the offer! My main thing is to get it on a proper lift of some sort. Am assuming the stock jack is not sturdy enough to work under hehe. I'll meet up with everyone one of these days.
